Took a new 870 wingmaster 12ga 3in to ballistic specialties in Batesville for a transformation. The 26in barrel is having 2.25in cut and re-threaded for custom choke. Forcing cone extended and polished. Recevier tap and threaded for picatinny rail to accommodate a vortex vision 3MOA re dot. Trigger job set at 3.5lbs.
Final procedure will be cerakote in olive drab with camo stock and forearm.
Come a long way since the 70's when in used a winchester 101 20ga field o/u with full f/m barrels. Typical camo was world II jungle camo coveralls and a camo scarf for the face!!! After that it was carhartt overalls with a woodland camo coat.
