It is an acrylic baffled tube. Looks like this on the bottom. This black tube went out last week.

I had to look up the spectraply material. I wonder how it would compare to micarta? The prices I saw were reasonable for the material.

I think the Micarta would be better compared to the acrylic than the spectraply. The spectraply is wood based laminate and the micarta is resin impregnated fiber laminate. Spectraply is less dense than the micarta.
