Title: Not Much Gobbling in SC Where I Am
Post by: SCGobbler on April 30, 2019, 02:59:16 PM
Haven't heard but 3-4 Gobbles the entire season where I have been hunting.

Hardest season ever.  Not sure if its because I'm on public land or I have lost my hearing.  Trying a new spot this Friday and Saturday to see if I can make something happen at the 11th hours.  SC only has 6 more days left in our season.

Never gone an entire season and not really heard a decent gobble.  I talked to the State NWTF biologist and he said this is the same sentiment he has heard this year across our region.  The 3 year early season start date is up and to me it looks like it has really taken a toll on the populations.

I never heard a gobble at all last year. First season ever I didn't hear one. I've heard a couple this year.
