Hey y’all,
Just Purchases a Osage Glass/Slate from Paul Hicks. I really don’t need a new slate but screw it never can have to many. Anyways I need a box call in the vest and I need a good one. Want a long box who would be a good guy to get one from!

Really depends on how much you want to spend and how long you are willing to wait.
Personally, if I wanted a great call at a good price with no wait I would grab this one.

Some of the more sought after are Watkins, McKamey, Witter, Terefencko etc.. but you are going to have to wait for all of them I believe, McKamey may have something available now. Jeff White or Ernie Fetters may have a call ready now too.

I normally contact Jeff on Facebook, but if you don't have Facebook he has a website. Just search Jeff McKamey turkey calls. SS custom calls makes a great long box, not sure how long their wait is but I'm sure they will get you taken care of as soon as possible

Ernie Fetter I think he's pretty fast at getting them out and probably the best steal $$ wise I can think of. I reach for my fetter more then Long boxes that cost twice as much. (https://uploads.tapatalk-cdn.com/20190426/17114502624a32c8273fc17737c98d56.jpg)

Contact Jeff. He likely has wood combinations that aren't on his website. I've been on his list since November and still not sure when I'll get my call. He's had some family health issues.

SS calls - Al Shoemaker. I use a maple/butternut longbox that will smoke them.
Lot of good callmakers out there. Jeff makes a good one. Ernie Fetters. The list goes on and on....

I will 2x or 3x on Jeff Mc Cammey. Really a great person and have ran a whole lot of calls of his and still take people over ( at Nationals ) who want a long box that is good and a great deal . btw he always has several bloodwood / Butternut Longboxes around and says himself , why change what works ??

Marlin watkins. Any combo from him is killer. My favorite is Ipe over butternut. I have 11 and hunt everyone of them throughout the season. Bloodwood over butternut and bloodwood over beech are also 2 great combos.
