Wow. That's one awesome pattern. Good luck with the 28-gauge!

I have had several inquiries concerning the choke. I actually bought it with the barrel from Remington. The gun is a express and the only barrel that they made to fit the frame is a Wingmaster. They supplied a modified choke with the barrel and I had to but the x-full as a extra. Best I can remember they charged 35.00 + shipping for the choke. This was 8 years ago.

That's good to see.  I just ordered a 28 gauge 870 today.  Been wanting one a while and finally pulled the trigger today.  What did your pattern look like with just a straight modified?

I haven't tried the tss through the modified choke. The pheasant shells would have been a alright  25 yard turkey pattern.

What is the ID of the choke in that 870? I am looking for an aftermarket choke or having Briley make me one. Thanks, Al
