Title: Too much practice?
Post by: soky on February 18, 2019, 09:07:43 PM
I have no intentions of getting in any contest as of now but for the first time in my life I’ve been practicing everyday since October. When I say everyday I mean every. Single. Day...  A week or so ago I felt like I was calling better than I ever had in my life. For the past few days I feel like I’m getting worse. Have any of you contest callers ever experienced something like this? If so, how did you fix it? It’s driving me crazy.

I’ve went through a few since I’ve started practicing more. By any chance do you know how long a call is good for if you’re calling a lot?

Depends, you can usually tell by how the call responds, most likely loses its pop/snap due to reeds loosening up from various factors.
