Title: Mossberg 835 and TSS and Indian Creek
Post by: Pooh4459 on February 16, 2019, 07:50:48 AM
Here's 40 yards with my Mossberg 835 with Apex TSS #8's 3.5" with a Indian Creek .675. I'm happy with it and probably would have decapitated Mr. Tom.

Never shot Apex out of my 835.  Used the .410 loads from APEX, excellent results.
I have been shooting Nitro's for 20 years.  There loads are unmatched by any competitor, yes even APEX.

Shot this weekend with some 8x9s.  Only loading the 75 yard pattern (That is all that is needed!)
40 yards is unbelievable, 25 and under I am aiming on the black.  I have shot 7.5x9 in the Nitro TSS loads as well.

Nice, might have to try this set up.

There is no way I'm taking that shot with that pattern.

I just picked up this choke for my 835 and ordered some Apex #4 for coyote. Anyone shoot this choke using Long Beard XR #5 or the Apex in a #5 3 1/2?

You asked the right question barrel length. It makes a difference when matching tubes.
Any turkey tube will down a tom at 40 yards with the Apex 3.5's.
We've moved out to 80 yards, barrel length makes a difference
