Post by: bbcustomboxcalls on February 05, 2019, 12:58:08 PM
Two Zebrawood copper pots. One is a standard frying pan copper the other a 3" copper.

What is the difference in sound between the copper being flat and the copper being concave like that?

Although I hunt both of these calls and they work equally well I personally prefer the frying pan copper.
To describe it, the frying pan has a deeper, raspier and somewhat louder response when you need to reach out farther.

Okay thank you for explaining that, I have a call coming that I special ordered but the surface was changed to the concave design and visually online anyway I don't know if I like it so I wanted to know if there was a benefit to doing that concave. I love the look of the original design and was just surprised when I was sent the picture and it was different. I don't want to be a jerk to the guy because he went out of his way to help me get the call excepting 4 payments from me til it was paid off so I am hoping I will like it more in my hand.
