Title: Knight & Hale Run N' Gun 300 or 200
Post by: Dressedtokill on April 11, 2018, 09:20:05 PM
Wondering if anyone has used these vest? And pros and cons? Looking a good light weight comfortable vest. This is the lightest vest I can find with the features I like. Also anyone use the alps grand slam? How is it?

I have the 200. Unfortunately my season hasn’t opened yet so I haven’t got to use it hunting. I like it though. It’s comfortable. Not having a game bag in the back we will see how that goes. The seat is comfortable but there aren’t many pockets. I almost wish I had bought the 300 for the couple extra pockets. Having the MOLLE straps is nice if you want to attach accessory bags. I do think I am going to utilize the hydration bladder feature just to keep from having a water bottle hanging off the side

I recommend the 300. Have used it taking my daughter out for youth season, and just got back from a 5 mile hike for nothing in the Missouri hills. It’s durable, comfortable, and I carry just about everything that was in my bucklick creek vest.

While I dont have one I did look at them at Bass Pro. Im happy with the number of pockets and the placement of them. It would be a great warm weather vest or a vest for guys that run n gun ,and cover a lot of ground.

Love my 300. The only enhancement I could wish for is magnetic seat and stock loop (took that off my I-beam 2.O). Added molle water pouch and it is as near to perfect as it can get. Excellent fit, used it in the downpour and against bark - no issues whatsoever. Plenty of room for all I need, I can even put a light jacket into the backpack.

I used a 200 last year. Never had a call fall out. It did seem that after I conditioned my surfaces and slid them in, they were never as ready as I thought they should have been when I grabbed them. Almost like they were being rubbed smooth while walking.

Maybe thats just in my head, but it sure seemed like they didnt keep their conditioning.

I bought the 200 first and realized I wanted a bit more room, the rng 300 is as close to perfect a vest that I have used.I never had any issues with pot calls,I had a friend sew some straps on mine a month ago and the newer ones in bottomland have them stock.Great product.I give the 300 a 10-10

I am on my second season with the model 200. I really like the seat and it is super light weight and cool temp wise. However, the box call holder is not positioned good. I carry my box call in my shirt pocket and keep a bottled water in the box call holder. I do like the seat though.

I have not used it in the field yet but I have the 300 and it has lots of room for all I need. I was hoping to get the water bladder for it this year but money says no to that this year but I will have one for next season.

I have the 200 and really like it. The seat is comfortable and it holds all I need. Of course I don't carry as much as others.

This years has little straps to keep the pot calls from slipping out,I like that they added it,I never had an issue last season but had some sewn on mine.I will be getting the new vest as well as I want one in bottomland camo.

Nice -   I got a RNG 300 last year in Obsession.. and just ordered a second one this week in Bottomland. I like the improvement to the pot call holders (didn't know that until now) .. even though I haven't had any issue.

I think I have had nearly every vest made ... but recently keep going back to the RNG 300...perfect for the things I carry.
