Title: Red dot sighting
Post by: oldcountry on April 08, 2018, 04:00:25 PM
I have a issue with my patterns moving if I don't get the dot perfectly centered. Does anyone else have this issue. I don't want to miss because I get in a hurry to make a shot and don't have it centered. I missed a big gobbler last year because of this.

I just got a venom to go on my youth 870 build. Itll be my first reflex sight as ive always used scopes. I thought I read that it didn't matter if dot was centered on reflex sights. Is this not true or is that for red dots and not reflex sights?

On my FF3 there is a line down the center. If the dot isn't over the line the pattern moves. I guess it is kinda like looking at the bead and moving your head the bead moves side to side.

They are supposed to be parallax free and this shouldn't happen. One of the big advantages to them in my opinion especially if you're trying to shoot from an awkward position
