$3000.00?!?!?!
I'm sorry, but this is getting out of hand. I'll agree that Remington isn't what it used to be but for goodness sake! The 870 and 11-87 are still being made. I've yet to figure out why these camo patterns are pulling even 1/3 of what they're getting. Having said that, good luck on finding one and congrats to those that managed to get them when the prices were reasonable.

Title: Re: 11-87 bottomland or greenleaf

Its not just the pattern. Its also the quality. That pattern represents a time period when remingtons lived up to there name. Now they're quality is beong compromised with cheaper parts. Mine are genuine. Not dipped. Says nwtf gun of the year on the box

Why not just get one at your local dealer for 350 and get it dipped?

Because the quality of the current Remington shotguns is nowhere near what it used to be.

I've got an original bottomland 1187 in near perfect condition if anybody is looking for one. It's got less than a box of shells ran through it and it's in near perfect condition. No dings or scratches to the paint.

I know where a greenleaf 1187 is that is a lil rough but works flawlessly. After reading this post I'm going to buy tomorrow. I can get for less than 10% of that price.

That's a $400 gun with a new release Greenleaf dip job. The guy selling is either an idiot or a thief. Beware guys this is the first of many trying to scam you I'm betting.
By the way I'm up to 21 Old School Remingtons.

It was only just a matter of time until someone did this, good thing the new dip looks terrible compared to the old. Easy give away. If you know what you're looking for anyways.

Everyone wants a bottland or greenleaf gun, I'm looking for an 11 87 in the old realtree extra brown pattern. They were made for a couple years after the greenleaf guns before they went to original breakup.  Had a chance to buy an 870 in that pattern in high school and passed. Been wishing I hadn't ever since.
