Title: Turkey foods- Crop examined
Post by: Sorgy on April 15, 2011, 11:42:06 PM
this evening I took a turkey in MN. Just North of the twin cities and I found interesting foods in its crop.
1) the smell was strong like onions-
2) there were little white bulbs about half the size of a large pea.
3) there were some greens as well.
4) there is a very good supply of acorns but only 4 were in his crop. It was full of the other stuff.
What do you suspect these are?

at this point in MN the snow just melted and the first ferns are popping- otherwise it is very brown.
I saved some of the contents and will try to post a pic soon.

Thank You

Steve
