Title: 10/21/17
Post by: Happy on October 22, 2017, 01:11:36 PM
Spent a mancation weekend with my oldest boy. Long story but to sum it all up it was a great time that involved getting puked on by a drunk squirrel, a few warning shots fired, some belly crawling in very short grass and then a successful conclusion to Wv youth season for the 3rd year in a row. The boy is getting pretty good  as this hunting bussiness and I am even more proud of the young man he is becoming.(https://uploads.tapatalk-cdn.com/20171022/5a53f2dbfba1b5a3d4b862426345f83f.jpg)(https://uploads.tapatalk-cdn.com/20171022/56ee4fa5c8440fc517ba269c34b9d139.jpg)(https://uploads.tapatalk-cdn.com/20171022/a13d82986ea48fd21e53e01d99f5ff3a.jpg)

I've been a member here for a long time.  I am pretty sure that the phrase "getting puked on by a drunk squirrel" has never appeared on this website.

Glad I could bring something new to the table. I am pretty creative but I couldn't make that one up. Just glad it wasn't me that got puked on but my boy. Things are usually funnier if they happen to someone else.

Congrats to the young man on his deer. We need to hear more about this "puked on by a drunk squirrel" thing.

Stopped to see a gun stock made by a fellow I know. The stock was made for a Thompson center contender and it was made out of a beautiful piece of burled cherry. While cutting timber this spring he dropped a tree with a squirrel nest. On of the young survived so he put it in his shed an basically raised it. It is not in a cage and is free to come and go as it wishes. It really likes people and while we were standing there catching up we were it's personal jungle gym. The squirrels weakness is beer. If it sees a can it will run to it and knock it over, helping itself to the spillage. It doesn't take much to do him in as we found out. He pulled on such stunt and then promptly climbed groggily up onto my boys shoulder and puked. That seemed to clear him up and he was back to his squirrel self.  Other than loving the beer he would make a pretty cool pet. Know the boy wants one now.
