Title: Thomas the Train Turkey yelper
Post by: chefrific on August 16, 2017, 01:32:27 PM
So my 16 month old son was playing with a top to a novelty kids drink like you see at the grocery store or walmart.  This one had a top shaped like Thomas the Train.  He was making noises with it and out of curiosity and just plain goofing around with my boy, I picked it up and though "let's run it like a trumpet".  Well, let's just say I was rolling with laughter.  I actually got a little hen out of this toy drink top!  Had to share.

Here's a sound clip, good for a few laughs:

Atleast if your turkey calls mysteriously burned up, or mysteriously went missing. You could still hunt turkeys with that thing.

Definitely more turkey than you'd think out of it! Way to go man!

Who'd have thunk it!!! That's funny. You play that better than I play my wingbones and yelpers! Lol

This is cracking me up.  I bought the spongbob bottle this weekend and it sounds even better! I'm going to play around with making some sort of extension and improve the tone.  I'm definitely taking one of these out next spring and see if I get a response.   :TooFunny:

That is some funny stuff!  It sounds like a young hen in the fall to me.  Hit it with some black matte spray paint and put'em on a lanyard, I'd hunt with them just to see what response I got from a turkey.
