Herb just called me Saturday afternoon to talk about my call and some other things. It must have rode a lightning bolt because it was in my mailbox today. Female banded Springbok horn yelper with all the Hornstra fixins. He blew it out of the park. I can't say enough for the ease of play and the versatility of sound on this call. It doesn't just look pretty, it sounds better. He is very nice and very knowledgeable to talk to as well.
And he ordered one of my scratchers :you_rock:
The call came inside the old section of a fishing rod case. Gotta love it.

WOW! Great horn Allen!
Thanks bud. It's something to behold Anthony. It was overly well packed, the rod case just helped protect it but it's a nice touch. Haha
Awesome! How does a call like that play?

Herb sends along instructions on how he suggests to grip the call and play it. His method works the best but it's not much different than any other suction call. His MP has a notch in the bottom that really helps it get raspy. This notch also helps you designate the direction the call should be held. Per the maker.
I want to add that Herb doesn't just get some horns and add a cool mouthpiece to it. He actually drills out, stages, and TUNES these calls. It's more than meets the eye.
Now that is special. Congrats.....
Congratulations Allen! Great call from a great call maker and person

Herbs first calls he every made were from horn. Herb makes some of the best sounding calls out there. I love the sounds of his horn calls.
The neat thing about Herbs calls is they are all unique. You can lay a thousand trumpet calls on a table and pick his out in the first 10 seconds.
Great call and thanks for sharing.
