I am going to buy my son one he is 6 my question is the lop is 10.5 inches to I think 12 inches can I put a full length stock on it when he is say 16 and grows a stock from a 835 or 500 which ever
It's a good gun. My son has one, and that little gun has 7 nice birds to it's credit.
Once he got older, I put an adult stock on it, and it works great!
He uses 3-1.5-7 Federal Heviweigh, an SSX TruGlo choke, and a FFII.
Ok great that's what I needed to find out about thank you
While he's young, keep
A full flush mount choke in that gun, and shoot federal Heviweight 2 3/4-7's.
It will kill plenty good from 25-30 yards max, but perfect for a small, young shooter.
Have him shoot it with high brass #9's, then slip a turkey load in when hunting.

You can get a choke to tight for a youngster. They need a little more forgiving pattern starting out!
Those 2 3/4" federal HW are reduced recoil loads and pattern great!
