Title: Original winchester extended range #6 question
Post by: Chilly on April 09, 2017, 06:35:39 PM
What kind of numbers were any of you guys getting with the original winchester extended range #6.  3.5" 2oz loads?  Anyone have any results with a jebs choke?

I know it's not exactly what you was asking for but this was a Jebs 650 choke with 3" 6 shot Winchester long beards

anywhere from 160-180 with mt SBE2 and Indian Creek .665, And 180-200 with my 870 SM, and jelly head 660 or Indian creek 665. These were all 3.5" 2oz #6.  These were the most consistent patterning shell I have ever shot, didn't have to worry about lot #'s or year to year changes. they kick like a $2 mule and hit like freight train.

3" 1 3/4 oz load.  192/361 53% from a .740 bore 21" 1187 barrel. FC lengthened. Trulock .670 choke.  Go to load.  Lights out for turkeys!
