Title: SSX and Longbeards
Post by: Zombie1978 on March 22, 2017, 08:27:33 PM
Finally got my gun set up for turkey season. I tried the Longbeard #4 #5 and #6. I did a deep clean and was getting horrible patterns with my SSX choke. I got good patterns with my Remington Superfull. Decided to try my SSX choke again today after not cleaning my barrel for 20 or 30 rounds and wow. I tried the 4 5 and 6 longbeards again. I think the 4s won. This is at 20 and 40. That's a dead bird, but I suspect you can do much better with that gun and shells.

I'm going to try a couple more shells tonight. Maybe a different choke also.
