April 22-23 for NY youth weekend. Only the Sat in NJ. Adult season in NJ starts April 24 n NY May 1.

I'm going back with a chip on my shoulder this year after coming home empty handed last spring. Friends of mine went back during bowseason and said the birds were going nuts just like it was the spring nearly every morning. Can't wait to shut a couple of them up in in April!!! :icon_thumright:
Ninja is under a month and I am just over it. Starting to get a little stir crazy. Messed with the vest a little last night. Hope to load some shells next weekend.

Youth/Apprentice Hunter weekend April 1st and 2nd, regular opener April 9th here in Virginia.
April 17th here in MO. Been kicking around a trip south to get started early. Guess I'll have to shed hunt to keep me occupied.
Just over 60 days now. Still a bit of snow on the ground but it's supposed to be over 50 this weekend. Nearer 60 they're saying. I'm betting I'm gonna see birds in fields n Sunday I'm getting up to look n listen for them. Let the pre games begin! Hope you southern boys are all already in decent weather. Hope the more northern guys are starting to see the weather change. Winter is almost over
Not sure if I'll get in the woods on the opener, but will for sure on the 16th.
Got in on 400 more acres to hunt. Two separate properties and I have hunted one with a friend before. Looking forward to trying new ground

It's coming quick now. Looking like bad weather for Saturday, I did put out a tent in the event of rain.

10 days to go for SC.. I am hunting a new property this year. Went last week to listen and heard 3 different groups of birds. Going to go back once more to set a game plan for the opener

Down to 29 days to the KY opener. Just talk to the property owner tonight...he saw a flock of 20 gobblers behind the house a few days ago. Can't wait to get after them!!! :fud:

Took a walk on the property I do a lot of my hunting on yesterday. Perfect day warmed up a bit and still had snow on the ground. Figured be a good opportunity to see where the deer and turkey are moving and set up a few trail cams. Tons of sign. Turkey tracks everywhere. Seen 5 deer. Spring is looking good for this property!

Getting close, 2-1/2 weeks til youth days n under 3 weeks til opener in NJ. Just over in ny. Birds though I'm seeing a lot have now moved into places I can't hunt but they're still moving n just starting the break up. Seeing lots of displaying n multiple gobblers w groups of hens in same fields. Getting close

Seen at least two strutters at one of my spots yesterday might have been 3. Deffinetely heating up! The 27th I head to Ohio. May 1st NY opener. Can't wait!
I'll be rolling into KY in approximately 164 hours (one week). Man, I can't wait!!! :happy0064:

Missouri opened today. T- storms all morning from daylight till our 1:00 quitting time. I got lucky and found one at 12:51. After 5 or 6 miles, he was at the truck! I'll take it though a little luck never hurt anybody.

Can't wait for Saturday's youth opener. It'll be nice to be home chasing birds on my own turf.
