Title: Extending the season
Post by: Bowguy on January 26, 2017, 05:09:41 PM
Seems lots of guys here start early n hunt multiple states. If anyone needs help in the NJ/NY area finding birds or learning areas I'll offer an open invitation to team mates to help. I'll even show you around if you made the trip. Just a couple states to consider.
May allow you to not hang up gear so early n help is always a plus when in new areas.
Pm me if you like

Thanks for the offer, wish I had the extra time to do it.  Though I could get in I-81 and head north by mistake one day, things happen  ;D

What are the season dates for NJ?
I may head up there this season to hunt with a friend in Vineland

April 24 is the start of adult season. Youth the Sat before.  Weeks run Monday to Fri for 3 weeks A through C. Week D allows 2 weeks all day, E is Saturdays. No Sunday.
You can buy multiple permits so potentially you can shoot a ton of birds, just gonna cost a bit to do so.
I love way north of Vineland, in my area permits are easy to get. Down south there's an awful lot of birds but it's hard to get a permit if you haven't already applied. Permits are zone specific. Before you go be sure a permit is available for ya
