We need 3 more members if you have a friend or know a Turkey killer tell him or her to check in
asap or old gobbler is going to fill the teams.
I will give a yell out to a friend.
Everyone's back except David and his brother and they will be hard to replace (them boys kill turkeys) but
I talked to Boff and he wasn't sure his schedule was going to allow him to join so we need two.
Man those guys will be missed!
I suppose if nobody comes up with a couple of replacements that we will just get a couple of guys assigned to the team out of the random pool? ....Or do we need to go searching for two more?
Welcome to the Crusaders wvmntnhick I was a mountaineer for the first 55 years
of my life and still miss my mountain mamma . We wish you a good season with many big birds .
If I can help just let me know. Steve
Thanks for the invite man. Glad to be here and hope to be able to get a few nice birds this spring. Seems to be plenty of them here this year so we'll see what happens. Not real sure what things are like up home after the big snow but I'm hoping that they managed to pull through. Seemed to be quite a few there during deer season. More turkeys than deer it seemed but 3 feet of snow can have a bit of an impact on food availability for all animals. Anyway, thanks again.
Also, what part of WV were you originally from?
Welcome to the team, wvmtnhick! Glad to have you!
Jim
Thanks. I just hope I don't let y'all down. The last couple years have been pretty good here. I'm hoping to capitalize on an early season hunt again this year. Posted a pic last year of the bird I killed. It was the first double bearded bird I'd ever killed. Buddy of mine had actually burned him a bit and I ended up calling him back around for a second round. It was pretty cool. You'd have to have seen it to believe it.
Snapper1982,invited me to play if y'all still have an opening. I am a former member of the VooDoo Mafia so I know how to play and feel honored to be invited onto your team..
Great to have you onboard Roost1 this is shaping up to be a good bunch of turkey takers
And we have a full team now...
Welcome from New Mexico, Roost 1! Looks like we have added a couple of turkey killers to the squad! Good luck to all,...and let's git 'em!
Thanks guys...I'm looking forward to busting some beaks soon.
Welcome back fellows and welcome to the team hick and roost
Fine bunch of turkey killers here.
Hey guys. Good to see all of the familiar names. Hope all has been good!
Howdy Quinn
Hey guys how can I go back and look at last year's team scores? I was just curious how we did? An also thanks for having me back#

Wow! Did that get blown out of proportion or what? Time to buy some relaxed fit underwear. One would think the final prize was an exotic hunt or cash based on how it went. But, that's the bad in reading text. Emotion can't be spelled out.

;D :angel9: :TooFunny:
Yeah,...as one of the primary participants in that discussion, it would be easy for someone reading it to think that I take this contest too seriously. I can assure my fellow teammates (and every one else) that I do not.
This is totally for fun and the enjoyment of the forum and its members. I just think that the rules should be set up so that everybody that participates is starting on the proverbial "level playing field". I could get really long-winded about that (as you can see I did in that thread...lol), but I will spare all of you from my ramblings about such things.
...Excuse me now,...I need to go adjust my tighty-whities.... :TooFunny: :newmascot:

True, Steve. That is how Anthony and I met up,...from both of us being on this forum years ago. Same with Quinn (Vicksburg). Anthony and I have gotten together a number of times since, including in Florida last spring. Hopefully, sometime in the future we can all figure out a time and place we can gather up for a hunt.
Well, I'm looking to possibly move into a new house this spring so my odds of doing any traveling for this spring is pretty much out. However, if someone wanted to try and get together a few days next spring and try to get some West Virginia public land birds, I'm in. I don't have enough access to private ground to take people but I do know where there's plenty of public land that's loaded with birds. I'd be there myself if it weren't such a drive from here. There's actually more birds there than is on the private ground I'm allowed to hunt. Not worth the drive for a one day hunt though and I'm not going down there by myself. It'd be lots of fun with a buddy though.

Send me a PM with some specifics so i can look at the place and nearby towns on google earth. I'm always up for a good road trip...
