Title: Win Rooster XR 2-3/4"

Patterned these back the end of April, temp was 72*.  Gun was 12g 2-3/4" Browning A5, 21" Invector Plus barrel, deep cleaned 5 shots previous to this patterning session.  Snaked before and between shots. 40y, 10" circle

Rooster 1.25oz #6 -- Indian Creek 0.655 choke; two shots: 134 and 128
Rooster 1.25oz #5 -- Indian Creek 0.655 choke; two shots: 102 and 104
Rooster 1.25oz #6 -- Hevi Shot 0.664 choke; two shots: 124 and 131

Those are impressive numbers for a 1.25 oz shell. They are as good as most any 3" pre-LB shell with any payload. They do, however, appear to be a bit "patchy".

Well at least i don't think so? Believe you are looking at a different shell. These have the resin like the longbeards.

Yeah -- Winchester has yet to make the LongBeards or Roosters in 20g.  Hopefully they'll see the light and do so!

I think those shells would make a great lower recoil shell for kids or ladies. Especially when shot through a heavier 12 ga.
