Further than a fellow ought to shoot at one.  Hevi 7's will out penetrate lead 5's if that gives you anything to go on.  I hear a lot of folks bad mouthing hevi 7's but it simply isn't true in my experience.

From what I've read is that the Fed HW7s(15g/cc) are heavier than the Hevi-Shot (12g/cc) stuff. Does that mean even farther?  50 yds ?

Wish I knew away to figure lethal range on the pellets itself my gun will put over 300 in 10 inch at 40 so long as pattern holds up ought to be good. One thing to consider though is I do not want to wound bird just my furthers lethal range I need all the help I can get hint the reason I shoot a big ten lol.

no shooting mag blends but those numbers are with nitro h210c straight 7s with jebs 680 I use the jebs with both  mag blends are putting 206 in 10 at 40
