Mossberg 835, Indian Creek .675, Hevi-shot 3.5 2 1/4oz 7s.
355 pellets in the 10 at 40. Recounted about 10 times and I got 350-360 everytime.
835 is a turkey killing machine...only problem I have is they kill on both ends...lol....great pattern man

Hey bud I got me a ATI talonII stock with the scorpion recoil system and I was very surprised how much recoil it took out. One of the best investments I made besides the burris ff3.

I was getting good #s with this set up anyway but I polished my barrel really good and it made a difference for me.

Great looking pattern! Those 835's with Hevi 7's are bad medicine on Turkey Noggins. I know, my 835 puts up 300+ with Hevi 7's and the .670 Pure Gold.

Look in that box and write down the lot number. Any time you find more with that number BUY THEM!
Best I got with that shell was 324 with a IC and a 870.
Another member here got numbers very similar to yours but I have not seen him around in awhile.
Yea that's a great pattern.
As an add on to my previous post, I shot a South Dakota Merriam at a lasered 38 yards with the Hevi 7's last spring and the bird never moved after the shot. I think your going to enjoy the results with the 7's Larry, when you pull the trigger. Good Luck and post some PICS.
That's a wicked pattern. I've hit 340+ out of lot #300325 once. Never got 350.

Hey fellas thanks for the replies. Just wanted to say that I do have a witness on here that seen me do it. It was a measured 40 and I shot 2 times and both were in the 350s. Bama turkey hunter seen it happen haha. And I don't know if my gun just likes em or if it's just a great lot # but the lot is 301109 so if you run across any grab em up and keep em. Or I'll take off your hands. Haha. Thanks
Thats making me really want to try straight 7's. I currently shoot Nitro H517, which is 4x5x7 Hevi, and it patterns really well. But those 7's are really somethin' else.
That's what bama turkey hunter shoots. Of course he don't have the #s but his pattern is awesome. Which is what counts

There were many, many patterns being posted like that all the time...

Yea I just didn't want anybody thinking I was just trying to be "cool" and actually have shot it at 30 and just said 40. I actually know a few of those guys. They can stack 5 arrows in a quarter at 100 yards. Haha

I have a 835 and use a .675 GT I would think it should preform similar. I would like too try those out.

Yup, I shot allot over 300 and a 333. Back then when everyone was posting what the Hevi 7's would do mine were just good patterns. Allot of folks were trying to hit the 300+ mark with shells right off the shelf and folks were producing some awesome results. I guess those guys are still around they are just like the turkey's around here..sorta quite.

Funny, I've got the same gun, Choke, and even the same lot # shells and the best I could get out of mine was 230. That's with a deep cleaned barrel and 70 degree temps

Well I hate to hear that. Something is wrong. Cause you should be getting way more than that. I polished my barrel and cleaned between shots.
My gun has never put up real good numbers except with longbeard #6's. I don't know why.

Yea I seen your post about the nitros. I thought you should be getting more #s with those. But you still got a turkey killer. Have you tried polishing your barrel?
No I haven't gotten around to polishing it yet, I've been meaning to do it. All I have done is a deep clean with hoppes 9.
Polishing your barrel could make all the difference I know when we polished LarryHaynes barrel he got a big jump up in numbers we polished his barrel two times and each time his numbers went up

Hevi 7s will do it every time with a pattern like that. I've got a stoeger p350 that loves those shells. Puts up 300+ every time.
