Title: Winchester SX3 20 gauge with Carlson's flush choke and HW 7's.
Post by: Tail Feathers on January 06, 2015, 09:13:39 PM
Had a beautiful day today and got to pattern the new SX3 20 gauge.  26" barrel, Carlson's flush choke, .581 if I remember the constriction correctly.  Cost $20 or so off Ebay.  40 yards, 170 in the 10" circle from a measured 40 yards to muzzle, an additional 113 in the 20 inch circle.
I tried to shoot with just the bead and came home and ordered a red dot for it.  The gun came drilled and tapped.  This was the third shot, barrel not cleaned between shots.  (The second shot was lead 6's...it wasn't worth taking a pic of.  Maybe 60 pellets in the 10" circle.)  It's shooting high so I aimed lower to get this.  I got a nice, evenly spread pattern.  This is just what I was looking for.(http://i770.photobucket.com/albums/xx344/LawDuck/IMG_0347_zps8651bb7c.jpg) (http://s770.photobucket.com/user/LawDuck/media/IMG_0347_zps8651bb7c.jpg.html)

Nice pattern!

So was this a 581 constriction or something else, as you wrote ".581 if I remember the constriction correctly"

Just want to verify before spending money.  :toothy9:

God Bless,
