Title: Hevi 13 #5s?
Post by: 10ga.Trauma on December 24, 2014, 03:32:08 PM
Hey all, let me start by saying merry Christmas to you all. I recently bought a sp-10 thumbhole to add to my collection of sp's and am interested in trying some new loads. The gun comes with a briley ported choke, which I believe was factory. I was wondering if any of you guys have used the Hevi #5s and what choke are you using. or are they no good and  I should just stick with using fed #6s and 7s.
Thanks

I have shot the Hevi-13 #5s out of an SP-10 with a .690 kicks gobbling thunder and a .690 Indian creek choke. I was not impressed with either pattern. I also shot them out of a single shot NEF with a .690 kicks as well as the factory NEF choke. Once again not Impressed. Both of my guns like the Mag Blends much better!!

I killed 4 or 5 with the heck 5s, I usually got around 160s at 40 yards.

I've got a couple boxes left. I'll either sell them or kill turkeys with them I'm not sure yet

I got about 160 I think with a rhino685

Take into mind that the h13 I think is a 1090fps load
