QS Sycamore has been one of my favorites. I love the rays and finding the most radical available from any given cut from a board. After years of making calls from this wood I have learned that the most beautiful wood isn't always the best when paired with itself. I'm still trying to figure out why this is exactly, but with that said, when they are good they are great and become a Full Choke. This is the wood that has been very, very good to me in the woods and at the shows.
I was tuning a pile of calls this evening and this one really wanted to ride in my vest. Thought I'd share it here if anyone wanted a killer. Thanks for look.
Had to add, this call was named by a friend.. I had given him a call like this before it was named. I asked him for a name. He said, Full Choke because it brings em in close. The rest is history. Probably made well over 500 of these. This is a good one.
Bottom. Love this wood.
QS sycamore is one of the most spectacular woods out there !!!
Reminds me of albino snakewood.
Very sharp looking wood in that caller!
:z-winnersmiley: That and one of your back scratchers is all a guy needs
Very nice
Looks great!
I agree with your opinion on QS Sycamore.
Looks and sounds great.
I love a sycamore tree period. I have a big one in the edge of my yard and also have it on several box calls and it just works and it especially compliments the art work that you put on so many of your boxes. Makes that artwork pop.
I like it. I've done a lot of QS sycamore onder a maple lid and it is a good one.

Ash over QS Sycamore is one to try. It out performs maple for me. The PA state inlay call in Ash over Sycamore rocks. Will do almost any state inlay on one for any of you.
Nice
New batch of these killers are talking.
It's definitely a looker. Nothing wrong with having a pretty call.
