This is message I sent to L. Gilbert last year. After this practice I called 4 gobblers and took one using just his box. I was hunting in Nebraska. Looking forward to new season. I tried bunch scratchers, but his is exceptionally good, at least in Nebraska.

Thank you for the call, it is beautiful and it works!
I live in the Colorado mountains. Couple days ago in the evening I was trying to play the call. In about fifteen minutes I noticed the shadow of the movement between trees, I kept chirping and I got lucky. Suddenly about twenty feet from me a big brown bear came out from the trees. He was as surprised as me. He was standing and looking at me and debating who I am , 250 pounds delicious merriam turkey or some idiot just playing one. My reaction was, alas, little different, after being screamed at, and waved on, bear decided, yes, idiot, and slowly walked away.
Next time I may be lucky and get turkey. Thank you for the call.

P.S. Maybe you should expand and try to sell to bear hunters?

Lonnie makes some real good boxes and scratchers, so darn pretty. He is a great guy as well, once in a lifetime experience right there!

Maybe the chirping did it bud? Bears respond well to that. Turkey seem to respond more positive w yelping.
