Title: Trying a Rev. Farmer trumpet for first time
Post by: Far2low on February 23, 2023, 12:17:20 AM
No pro by any stretch. But I was very happy with how easy it was to play his trumpet.

It is not my call. It was my friends who let me play it

I need to meet your friends. Awesome call to hold in your hands let alone play. One of my white whales!

Interesting. I’m no trumpet expert, actually have trouble now sealing calls properly w some medical issues but even beforehand found the farmer calls I ran the hardest to use. My buddy who is a trumpet expert also feels Farmers are the hardest to use. We talked about it just the other day

I believe that mostly depends on your style of calling. I call with rasp but if you call “clear style” that may be why

I agree with 1iagobblergetter, sounds good to me. Is your friend going to let you hunt with it?
