Sent Mr James Wittmer some tulipwood a couple weeks ago and today the finished product arrived. Crystal over walnut and red slate over glass with a tulipwood striker. If you don't own one of his pots I highly recommend cause they are strong and these 2 will guaranteed be in my satchel come spring. Wittmer's custom turkey calls are the real deal he also makes a great short box. Fine looking calls, my favorite wood hands down, followed by persimmon and Ipe. I will have to get one from him sometime.

I don't think it matters what woods he uses....his stuff RUNS. Definitely top tier.
