Title: Need Advice
Post by: BushWacker24 on November 25, 2020, 08:37:02 PM
Recently purchased a Winchester SX4 Universal 12 gauge.  Running an Indian creek .665 with fast fire 3 Never shot gun and fixing to order some Apex.  Looking for good patterns at 40-50 yards.  Would it be best to shoot the #9's or the 8.5 Ninjas?  Also would you go with 3 inch or 3.5?

Thanks for any feedback.

Although obviously there are those who do, I would hazard a guess that those shooting 12 gauge and running TSS are in a pretty substantial minority. Where TSS really comes into its own and is a true game changer is in the sub-gauges.

3.5" TSS #9 here. Won't change. I have an 835 though.

Had very good patterns with the Apex 16 gauge load. Haven't used it in field yet, but they are good on paper. I am sure the 12 gauge loads are great. Good luck..........

3" 9s should be more than sufficient

3" 9s... No significant gains with 3.5". Just more $$$ and recoil. Load 2.75" 1.675 oz 9s myself, and they average 347/10" @ 40.
