Anybody still hunting?, I may have a friendly wager pending with a Crusader
I have this week left in WV. Have seen lots of turks and sign on the WV lease but man were they quiet last week. Hopefully this week is better.
I have 2 weeks to go. Last day is Memorial Day. Woods have been eerily quiet around here.

As far as your friendly wager with a Crusader, I have already posted a 66. I'm thinking we need me to find an 80 or so. Maybe less if others upgrade. Pressure.

Well, no, we are actually focused on knocking The Crusaders into that position. This is the tightest contest that I have ever seen here and you gentlemen are wearing a giant bullseye on your stationary backs. We still have some heavy hitters in the woods and they ain't finished yet.

Looks like I'm done and no upgrade for me. I have had a very fortunate year. I killed what will most likely be my last bird this morning in MD. Scott is headed after his running mate now. He had a big thick beard but if isn't any heavier than mine was he won't score much.

Well after a nice track across some thick nasty Maryland swamp land we finally got to look at the bird we had been listening to. congrats on some great birds. my season ended a couple weeks ago and i have been covered up since, working and catching up on things. i just got around last sat to putting down new flooring in our camper that i tore out back in feb, im glad my wife is a patent person when it comes to my hunting haha
Well fellas it has been a good year, but now it is done. I shot a WV bird last saturday but it was not an upgrade to my 2 VA birds. Once again it was a pleasure being part of the best sub-gauge army the turkey world has ever seen.
Well I pulled the trigger on the last gobbler of my 2021 season a couple hours ago in Minnesota. Got another one yesterday in Michigan. Stories to come. Neither are upgrades but both are fine birds. That Michigan bird hunt was unreal. My Minnesota bird was a spot and stalk in nasty weather but I'll take it. Throughly enjoyed being on the team this year. Thanks for having me.
