Bill
Great calls and great craftsmanship. I used one this spring to kill a gobbler.
That's some good looking tubes
I had bought a bocote from Bill that I used this spring on a successful hunt. He made a shorter bloodwood tube for me after the season that has a 'spot on' but mellow tone. It'll be perfect for pressured public land birds.
Nice looking calls. I have one I bought that and I hope I remember it right "Pappy" (Or was it "Papa"? I think the first is right) made in Blue Mahoe, it is one I am getting ready to start working with real soon to try to be ready for Spring. They sound incredible when somebody knows what they are doing with them.
If I remember the threads sir, it was Papi. He made some sought after calls, with a lot of threads speaking well of his calls.
I went back and looked, it was Pappy.

Thank you, I did not mean to be disrespectful, my meds mess with my memory quite often. I know he was very well thought of, I wish I had gotten the chance to interact with the gentleman more, from what I recall he was very forward but very polite in the way he went about it which I respect. I know he helped a lot of callers and call builders from what I have read. I am not going to say any more, feel like I am hijacking a thread and it was not my intent.

Didn't see it that way at all. We were talking about well crafted calls and bbcustomboxcalls (Bill) is in that group.
Got that bubinga pictured in the mail today. She's a keeper. I've got several of Bill's tube calls. They will all see use. Thanks Bill. It's like having several pretty girls you can ask to prom... LOL.
I have 5-6 of pappys tubes, an original killer keg & another one of a kind, great guy , spoke to him several times, miss his input. Mike
Some of the old threads that Pappy was on I think he mentioned talking with Bill about calls. Many spoke well of Pappy, as a man and his calls.
