I got these in the mail today and am very pleased with both. The box took me a little bit to figure out. You have to play the handle closer to the box than some of the others I have played which is nice because it is less movement and it sounds great after I figured it out.And what else can I say about the Mahoe but wow!!! Now I know why it's so popular , nice work Chris it sounds great!!!!
Better pic of the box
Received mine today also from chris,Nice calls
Congrats!
I'm glad you guys liked the calls. Another popular wood is flame box elder, I found a big log 4 years ago and it's been sitting in my garage ever since. I squared it up today with my chain saw. Hopefully it will be dry enough that I can resaw it into some pot call blanks.
I squared up two big logs of osage too. Very good looking osage.
Glad you like the box Chris. That short stroke comes in handy in the woods, especially in the closing moments.
