Like everyone else I'm sick of being home. Other than work I'm quarantined for another 7 days as two members of my family tested positive and I had been with them for a short time.. They are fine and I have missed it as far as I know at this time which is good but I'm board. I've been wanting to do a carbon fiber tip striker for some time now. I know this is nothing new as there are plenty of real good ones out there and I own and hunt them. I wanted it in my striker style. So I started to turn a few and I'm happy with the results. Again nothing special here just in my striker style and they have worked well on the calls I tested so far. Then there was the dymondwood from hell. This stuff has to be the hardest dymondwood I have turned to date. So hard that the carbide bits really hate it and I'm on edge the whole time I'm turning. I only did three and counted my blessings that they worked out. I have enough to turn more just not doing it at this time. I find if I'm in the right frame of mind that I can stay calm and work through the head ache. Thanx for the look. (https://i.imgur.com/oaJcx27.jpg)

Those look great! Is that shrink tubing over the joint?

Very nice. Hope everyone is okay.
Nice looking work as always Bill. Thanks for sharing the picture. Take care of yourself and we will keep you and your family in our prayers.
Very nice Bill, I think I see my name on two of them, the black one and one of the dymondwood...
Thank you very much for the well wishes. My father is the one that this could be hurt the most by this so time will tell. Just needed to do something as sitting around drives me nuts and this seemed to be the best time to start this project. More than happy with the results.
Nice Work Bill... :icon_thumright: Good luck to you and your family.
