Post by: Sx4 on March 02, 2019, 08:29:57 PM
I think I have a problem! I love snakewood strikers! A little too much! These are a few John Sinclair Snakewoods I have picked up! Not only are they an awesome playing striker they look beautiful! He just dropped some of the best of the best for figure on his website! Now which should I buy..... :TrainWreck1:

Looks quite nice. I just picked up one of his post here used, very pretty and sound good as well. One time soon I hope to get one of his new, not sure what I want though. I think he may be at the Call Makers Summit in Aug. so I will look at what he has there.

As far as a striker goes hard to beat his snakewood... For a call any color slate over copper in just about any wood will kill birds!

If I go with another slate it will be purple slate next. Thinking maybe ?Mexican Cocobola or in a 3.5" pot. Like that size pot, very comfortable to hold on to. I also am thinking on brass, Crystal or glass as I do not those yet in a custom pot.

3.5 Cocobolo bronze glass over copper would be my choice with what you say you want

I purchased one his snakewood strikers a couple of weeks back and it's a beauty and sounds great on everything I have for surfaces.  I also purchased a wormy black/white ebony pot in titanium over glass combo.  What a screamer that is with the snakewood striker.  Put through an order this weekend for a rosewood pot with a grey slate over copper combo.  Should be a nice sweet talker.  John's quality and craftsmanship are outstanding.  Quickly replies to emails and is a nice guy.  I will definitely be buying from him frequently when I need something.

His calls are very addictive! Really for the variety/beauty of woods, the ability to pick surfaces and soundboards and all at a fair price its my choice for pot calls.. Easy to get no waiting list or 2 year wait... Also they sound great and they kill turkeys. His snakewood striker can do it all. Go between titanium, slate , aluminum ,glass, ceramic. It's the best all around striker in my vest. Just all around good stuff..
