Finally broke 200, had to clean barrel with steelwool and butchs boreshine. First shot 212. Then cleaned with brake cleaner and patch, second shot 160.just cant get the plastic residue from wad out of barrel without using steelwool.these wads are a pain in the @$##$@

Don't see one getting away from that. How are you using the steel wool for cleaning?

I wrap oooo steelwool around 12 gauge brush and use drill or brush by hand first with cleaner than bore polish. Flush with soap water.i spend a long time doing this about an hour, do u think this will scratch the barrel eventually?im not sure I wont to keep doing this or settle for lower nos. It makes a big difference

An HOUR! but i also do mine for like 10 mins.....(I'm probably lazy) I know.
