Title: Ohio Fall season opens Sat Oct 13
Post by: eggshell on October 10, 2018, 06:35:48 PM
well in two days it's game on in Ohio for fall turkeys. I will be hunting gobblers only at least for the early season. it has been really warm, but is forecast to drastically cool off by Saturday and I am glad. Good luck to all states as we go afield and be safe. Fall season is even more dangerous than spring.....I know

Been tough sledding the first two weeks. Seen a lot of birds but not got a chance at a longbeard yet. Two different times I had coyotes chase birds away. I'm about ready to shoot any turkey soon. I have passed up quite a few hens and poults, so I best just take a bird before I end up with zilch. Birds are moving around a lot and not been very vocal.

Got iinto a flock this morning that worked well and came to the call so I decided to take an adult hen. I gave up on the long beards. I got into a flock of gobblers Tuesday, but they would not place nice.

It was pouring rain so I took the picture in my shed, not a cool hunting scene, but dry.
