Title: Rainy day success

Killed this one on 3/17. Got soaked in the process but managed to kill my personal best bird.

Identical 1.25" spurs
10.5" beard
weighed in at 22lbs 5oz

Nice; way to gut it out & get "rewarded" for it!  I also bagged my best bird in the rain!

A couple of my favorite birds were rainy day gobblers.  Although they tend to be ugly as heck in the tailgate pics, they just seem to be a more rewarding kill for me as it is often about patience and perseverance on rainy days instead of the "classic" roosted bird in to the gun kill. One of them never said a word, but I knew by tracking him he was in the area.
