If you were in the market for a crow call what wood do you look for? Anything particular or just something that sounds realistic?
For you call makers, what woods do you prefer to make them out of?
Drew
Osage orange, bocote, oak, stabilized maple and bamboo
Hard to beat walnut
I have been using a plastic Primos crow call in conjunction with my Alfa dog. I get good results but would like better. Not trying to take over this post but since we are talking wood types. Are these custom wood call types better than mass produced? Are they even comparable?

No they are not comparable, custom crow calls sound real.
