Alright so what is your dream 10 gauge? I mean you pick it - anything you want on a billionaire's budget. The only catch here is I also ask you pick out your realistic alternative.
My dream would be any of these:
- Browning Gold Lite NWTF
- American Arms Turkey Special SxS
- SP-10 Blued/Wood 26" barrel
Any of those will gladly go in my safe when I can find a deal. I want a few different chokes and loads:
Chokes:
- Sumtoy
- Pure Gold 690
- IC 690
- IC 720
- Kicks 690
Loads:
- Nitro H210B 6x7's
- Nitro H210B 5's
- Fed HWT 7's
- Winchester XX 2.25 oz 5's
My dream gun is the American Arms Turkey Special that both barrels shoot where I point with 2 Sumtoys screwed in and a Winchester Lead Load in one barrel and a HWT or Nitro in the other. I would gladly take either auto though!
Now for the billionaire part, give me 250 each of those shells!!!!Alright guys give me yours!
Hey Daman. I had the AA double but in 12 many years ago. It was heavy and awkward and NOT regulated well at all. I'd be leary of that gun just based on my experience. So, that leaves me wanting an SP. If given the chance, I buy American whenever I can, especially on a billionaires budget.

That is my only concern with the AA. Out of the 2 autos I would prefer the Browning but a good deal on a 26" wood/blue SP would be tough to pass up!
I would probably say a gold lite browning, 21" pipe, some kind of steady grip style stock, burris ff3 or trijicon rmr, dipped in bottomland. And a bunch of chokes and nitro's to play with!
I've got it. Bps nwtf edition, 24" barrel kicks 720 and 2.5 Oz of tss 8
Or kicks 690 and mag blend or hw7
I already have it. It's a Browning BPS 10 ga. "Stalker" with the 24" barrel, factory installed Hi-Vis FO sights and a Bansner .695 choketube.
Whenever I find a bottomland 23" barreled sp-10 in immaculate condition I'll likely join the 10 ga club. So that's my pick
A Browning BPS 10 for me. Never hunted with a 10 but if I come across a good deal I may have to breakdown and buy one.

I'm quite happy with my sp10 it's heavy , but the aim is steady -- 20 years with the same turkey gun
SP-10 with a Knoxx stock..ain't happenin, but I can dream ;D
Gman
Already own it. Original bottomland SP-10. Had a BPS for years and loved it, but not near as much as I love the remington. Kicks 690 and virtually any shell I want to shoot and its a deadly.

One that doesn't kick!LOL
Have it already! Bps 24 in stalker. Dipping in bottomland before next season. Rhino 720 and either 3oz of tss 7s or 2.5 oz of 8s
My NEF, compact, not to heavy, great patterns, handles well, manageble recoil, didnt break the bank, extras on the stock so a quick second shot is easily accomplished. Mike
Here's mine...saw it in the store and had to have it! I currently have a Jellyhead in it...shooting Nitros..but plan on continuing to experiment with lead loads and standard chokes in the "off season"

All my tens gauges are great, nitro loads, 3 ounces, #4 or 4,5,7, rhino choke tubes, if i had to pick my favorite is my old Ithaca 10 auto. its rare i used a second shot , but when the fast second shot sealed the deal. over 200 kills with Ithaca 10, all these guns pattern tight with nitro loads, 320 to 340 pellits in 10 inch circle, sometime too tight a pattern. For long walks thomson center 20 gauge 3 inch #4 , would never think or though i would use a 20 gauge, but i get 120 pellits in a 10 inch circle at 40 yards. I am a big ten gauge fan. you are not shooting blue jays, this is the toughest bird out there, you need the best gun best shot. LOts of practice, the bird diserves it. the best you have, eastern assassin 439 kills all documented,, gun used, shot used, day, time, weather, calls used to call bird, size of bird , weight, beard lenght, spur lenght. pictures, distance to bird, 10 states hunted, 38 years, turkey thugs who...... eastern assassin,

Benelli super duper black eagle 3... 10 ga mashamatic .. Dream 10
Hey, I will take one of those too!
I think an original bottomland SP 10 would be great to have...new in the box old stock since I'm dreaming. I currently have a BPS 10, Mossy Oak Break Up, 24" factory barrel, Tru Glo Pro Series Gobble Dot sights, Jellyhead.
My dream 10 is one I already own almost. It's an SP-10, the almost is about figuring a way to put wheels on it
I'm shooting it now. It's a modified SP-10 that I shoot two different shells out of. If I'm pressed for time I shoot a Nitro with 2.5 oz of #4 Heavy Shot. If I'm not pressed for time I load 2.5 oz of TSS, usually in #6. I know, I know, I'm defeating the purpose by not shooting 2.5 oz of #8 or #9 TSS...I'm just more comfortable using the TSS #6's...and the range...well, it's impressive.
My realistic 10 is my current BPS, got it as a graduation present in '93 and have killed a gob of toms since whether running Remington #4's through a standard full or the old Winny Supreme 2 1/4 oz. #5's through a Hastings .695, those Winchesters threw a super nasty pattern. Current load/choke is a Comp-n-Choke XX Full with Remington Premier or Nitro Mag #4's, getting low on the Nitro Mags though so older Federal Premiums are on deck.
Now to dream a bit I would love a well regulated SxS, dipped in Obsession, Full in one pipe and extra full in the other, if both would shoot those Remington Premier 4's I would be happy or give me some of those 2 1/4 oz. 5's and I would be equally happy.
A happy medium which I intend to do someday is dip my BPS in Bottomland or Obsession and get a saddle mount with an optic of some sort.
I lust after an SP-10 with a thumbhole stock, a Leupold 1-4X NWTF scope with Turkey-plex reticle & a Rhino choke set up to shoot Nitro Hevi-Shot. Oh wait, I have one... Happy day! :jackson:
I was given an AA side by side 10 gauge turkey special for my high school graduation present.
Mine is regulated well and I have killed a ton of ducks and geese with it. And one turkey.
But I think my ultimate 10 would be a Bowling Gold lite with a 22-23 inch bbl dipped in new bottomland, and equipped with a ff3. And a good choke.
If I'm dreaming I'd like to see Benelli come out with a 10 gauge version of the SBE2
If I could just find a b square for my bps 10 heavy hitter I would be set!!
Talkem into given up!!!
A Browning Gold Lite NWTF with a ?? choke shooting Win Supreme XXs 5s. I would need to test my chokes for the final answer.

Browning Gold Light , Trulock non ported, Fed Heavy 7's...dream gun.
Dipped in Mathews Lost Camo, camo Claw sling.
Since it's just a dream how bout a benelli super vinci or sbe2 in a big 10, even a limited run or something! !!! Come on benelli lol.
Hold on to your 10's guys. Like the T rex I believe they'll go extinct in production. Love my Browning gold light. Its like carrying a scoped 1187 weight wise. Had the bps and sold it. I'll miss the big bore once its gone.
