Back out at it with Curtis this morning, he wasn't able to make the hunt on Saturday but he was ready to go today! We had some good gobbling on the roost this morning and heard a couple of close birds, as I started talking to them a hen lit up and they hit the ground. Birds went quiet on us for a bit, we had a few deer come towards our set and watching them come I turn to look back and I see a bird coming down the hill, I told Curtis we have one coming and the he spots a second and they are running in to the DSD's and BIG PUFFY, talked a little talk on the Cody and got Curtis ready with the gun. I had just enough time to get the camera on, the birds came in at 14 yards and just took a bit to get on him and he put down his first turkey ever! After we tagged and snapped some pictures I told him now that we had some fun it was time to do some work :) He helped me break down both sets from the weekend, load up the truck and got back to the house to get it cut up and ready to do a display for his bird. Great thing here through the WI DNR Learn to Hunt Turkey Program!

I live in Crawford Co. hunt here and down in Grant mostly, where you from?
