Title: NEF.410
Post by: Izzyjoe on March 11, 2018, 10:41:13 AM
I have a New England 410 that I would like to set up for my daughter, I would like to use a Burris fast fire 2. Does anyone make a mount for them, or does it come with one. In the future I'd like to get it threaded for chokes, but that will have to wait. Seeing what you guys are doing with these 410's has gotten my attention, I am quite interested in this lightweight setup for turkey hunting, and I've always been found of the 410. I've been looking at the Stevens 555 in 410 for myself, they are a nice looking shogun.

How much are those, and I guess I'll have to drill and tap the barrel.

NEF is a hunk of steel. You can get a 28ga double that weighs that. For a cheap mount on a single barrel, you can get a picatinny rail that clamps on the barrel. https://www.ebay.com/p/Hot-Tactical-Double-Barrel-20mm-Rail-Picatinny-Weaver-Mount-for-Rifle-Bipod/2115452673?_trksid=p2047675.m4096.l9055

Just bought a Stevens 555 in 28 and really like the way it handles.  Just ordered another one today for my daughter.
