Title: Sneed strikers
Post by: pinebark on May 09, 2019, 09:58:14 PM
I have several Sneed pot calls (Outlaw, Hot Hen, and Heart Breaker) and I have always just used the purple heart or dymond wood strikers that he pairs with them. I am searching for some advice on other quality strikers to pair with his pot calls. Any advice would be appreciated.

Matt MCclain and Fred Cox black locust sound good on the hot hen. Halloran jatoba 1pc. on the outlaw hen.

Look no further than JLH right here on old gobbler. Great affordable strikers and Jeff is a fine fellow.

X2. I've picked up a couple this season. They work like a charm.

Thanks guys for the insight. I have a few on the way from him as we speak. He was a really nice and honest person it seemed like over the phone. Can't wait to get my hands on them and see how they play. I'm more of a trumpet person but I am trying to get my feet wet in the friction world and get a few quality pot and striker combos. These sneeds don't really need much help as they are but i just wanted to try some new things.

I'm sure there are a bunch that sound good on those pots. They're all good calls.
I have a dymondwood from Matt VanCise that sounds REALLY good on the Outlaw Hen (Green glass).
JLH pink coral and honduran rosewood sound good and Halloran ipe or jatoba sound great on just about everything.

JLH is on here. His handle is JLH. West Augusta, the same.
Sneed will be on Facebook. His nephew runs the site but it's under Lonnie Sneed.
