Thanks Steve it was quite an uneventful morning until about 10:30 and it was over at 10:52. I had dozed off for a minutes, it was cold and rainy and I had on more clothes than a guy should have to wear turkey hunting, but anyways when I woke up I made a series of yelps and he answered me from a couple hundred yards away. It wasn't long until I saw him come out of a low spot in the field. He strutted all the way to me but he was very slow and deliberate, take a couple steps and stop and look.
Very surprised when I saw the hooks. Another blessed day in the turkey woods.
That's an awesome way to spend Easter weekend! That is a big ol turkey bird!!!
