Ok, so I haven't posted up a score yet, but I've got the pictures ready to go, just need the final tally.
I did some pretty extensive scouting and found several good bunches of birds. Even had a bead on a roost holding several gobblers. Left at 3 am for the first Saturday of the shotgun season to see miles of nothing but scorched earth and smoking stumps. Heard a few birds that didn't want to do much so it was time to go searching. Found some ground that wasn't burned and saw a lone gobbler across the road from where I could hunt. Works In Maryland, so I decided to give him a shot. Got close to where I saw him, and he responded followed by several birds even closer. Before long, I had 3 longbeards crossing the road right to me. As the stepped clear of the brush, two of them even decided to stretch up not a foot from each other and I took advantage of it. Always wanted to kill 2 with 1 shot, so I put the bead between the two and dropped them both!
