She arrived today! Beautiful box with a fantastic sound! I couldn't be more pleased! For those who did it see my story under SteelerFan's post about my experience with Matt Van Cise here it is. For my last call for a while due to a new little girl coming into my world, I contacted Matt for one of his boxes. I originally ordered a Macassar over Poplar. About 2 hours after the order, Matt asked me to phone him to talk about my call. In short, he only had two pieces of poplar and he couldn't get them to work with a Macassar lid. One side ran great and the other didn't. Since I had already paid for the call and he couldn't build what I requested, he told me he'd make me a Snakewood over Pecan or Beech (whichever sounded best) with no upcharge on the snakewood. I told him I'd pay the difference and he flat wouldn't let me. Not to mention now the call is in, he topped it with a very nicely figured piece of snakewood. AWESOME guy and his calls are top notch as well! Won't be my last time purchasing from him!

Between Steeler and you Clardh I had to bite! Unfortunately has to be the last one for a while, but I can honestly say I'm thrilled that I went the direction of one of Matt's boxes. Great craftsmanship, sound, and a awesome first experience with Matt altogether.

Nice! We talked yesterday and he said this is his favorite combo he builds and with the best sound. I ordered one too :drool: can't wait to hear it and I sure hope mine has that much figure! Congrats he is awesome.

It's a awesome sound beardhunter! He was thrilled about the way Pecan and beech were sounding with a snakewood or bloodwood lid when I was on the phone with him, and he did say snakewood/Pecan was one of his favorites so far. I took his word and let him pick!

He doesn't yet from what I've seen Taunto. From what I understood from him he had just started messing with the Snake/Pecan combo when I got mine. I'm sure one will be up soon, but if you'd like when I make the soundfile tomorrow for vtmag I'd be happy to send it on to you too!
