What's the secret to running these . They seem so much more difficult than a regular trumpet
I would work on your lip stop , getting it where you can get consistent sound ( not turkey sounds) out of it. The cut side need to rest on your bottom lip or it does for me.

I had the opportunity to meet John up at Unicoi, and I must say, I was most impressed with the craftsmanship and the sound of his calls! He was an pleasure to speak with and I made my first purchase, a black cherry burl with musk ox boss and giraffe bone mp. Once again, Unicoi is the place to be!

Was wondering if anyone has received a call from him recently?. Just trying to figure out how far out I am with out bothering him.
I talked to him about 9 months ago. He said he was at least a year and a half out but he had been real busy with work and family.
