So... who is the lucky slayer to get to hunt first? April 15th, ???????????, gets worse every year, lol. Hopefully I can find a youth to take second day. I'll have 6 welding kids at Jeff City on first day. If I can't find one my wife said I was gonna drive her insane, lol.
March 16th for us
Yep, March 16th.
Went scouting last weekend and heard a few gobbles at 1st light. REAL wet
Down here this year, not sure how that will affect us or the birds.
We hunt public land, so that can always be a factor.

April 18 for us in Maryland, 50 more days from today!!! :turkey2:
March 15th here. But I am taking a youth the 9th.
march 15th for me, at least for the home state. gonna be an interesting year. not really seeing what id like to see...but ive been there before
Man!! You early Marchers lol. I guess I'm gonna have to broaden my horizons so I can hunt more and earlier lol. Seems we have several teams this year! That's outstanding! I'm just hoping it will warm up some without no rain!! But got severe storms and 68 degrees Saturday. It won't be long. I'm scouting this weekend my public land, hopefully see some sign or better yet hear something lol. You all get too many birds to shoot just holler, lol. I'm 2 1/2 hours from Mississippi lol
I could be persuaded to go south too lol.????????????
I'll be out this weekend and next week. Gonna try to scout and check my cameras that are on my plots. Hope to find some sign. Maybe I can get the youth I'm taking a bird. I am looking forward to a great week in the woods!
Man o man, birdman, dzsmith, backwater, bornagain, you lucky dogs are just a couple days away from drawing first blood lol. Good luck fellas, be safe, and hope you find one that wants to play and a memory is made. ????????
Bornagain and myself will be looking for one that can swim. Lol. Our particular part of the state is very wet and the weather does not look good for our opening weekend. We will be out there ...rain or shine. Good luck to everyone getting out this weekend.
Ray
Where I hunt has received tons of rain and looks like will be getting a couple more inches tonight. After the rain it is suppose to turn cooler. Hope the cold temps don't give them shutmouth. I have been out scouting this week and have found tons of sign. Yesterday morning i was able to hear my first gobbles. Like backwater said, I'll be out there regardless of the weather. Good luck guys!
Getting all my honey dos out of the way: put down hardwood floors Sat, cut the grass , cleaned the pool and sprayed the yard with weed and feed. With all that done, now I can turn my attention to hunting the wild turkey.
Looking forward to waking up early for something other than work.
John

We are on the board guys!
