Spent 36 hrs in the woods the last 4 days. I saw a few and connected with none. I thought I could call turkeys but now that confidence is questioned. I called to hens and gobblers and never had a response. In fact, some turned and walked away. They showed zero interest in decoys either. I've heard only one gobble and that was this morning on the roost. Which didn't go my way either. Something is off and I can't figure what it is. I've got an hour or so in the morning so that's a chance I suppose. We need a score!!

I can't remember where you hunt in SC, but here in the upstate I've heard hit or miss reports. Some saying the birds are on fire, others saying nothing. I saw a few hens yesterday with no tom in sight and actually saw 2 toms feedingg together in a field.

Sounds like the birds aren't very active right now. Have you changed calling techniques? More aggressive, less aggressive, purrs?
Try multiple surfaces? Copper, glass, Aluminum?
Using decoys?
